1. Copyright Respect
WaveNation respects the rights of artists, labels, publishers, filmmakers, photographers, writers, creators, and other rights holders. Users and creators may not upload, stream, post, distribute, monetize, or submit content unless they have the necessary rights, licenses, releases, and permissions.
2. Submitting a DMCA Notice
If you believe content on WaveNation infringes your copyright, send a written notice to legal@wavenation.online. Your notice should include the following information:
- Your full legal name and physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- Identification of the allegedly infringing material, including URL or enough detail for us to locate it.
- Your contact information, including email address, phone number, and mailing address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, agent, or law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
3. Counter-Notification
If your content was removed because of a copyright notice and you believe the removal was mistaken or that you have authorization or a legal right to use the material, you may send a counter-notification. A valid counter-notification should include:
- Your full legal name and physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the removed material and where it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, phone number, and consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate federal court.
- A statement that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice or that person’s agent.
4. Repeat Infringer Policy
WaveNation may terminate or restrict accounts that repeatedly infringe copyrights or repeatedly submit unauthorized content. We may also limit creator monetization, remove access to upload tools, withhold disputed monetization where legally permitted, or take other action as appropriate.
5. False or Abusive Notices
Knowingly submitting false copyright claims or counter-notices may create legal liability. Do not misuse the DMCA process to silence criticism, competition, commentary, lawful use, or creators who have authorization.
