ATLANTA — Legal matters involving Atlanta radio personality Darian Morgan, known professionally as "Big Tigger", and his estranged wife, Alicia Denise Brown, have expanded across multiple cases in Georgia and Maryland.
Brown, 37, was arrested Monday in Hart County, Georgia, after deputies received a law enforcement alert about a vehicle traveling north on Interstate 85, according to reports citing the Hart County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities said Brown was wanted on kidnapping-related warrants out of Maryland tied to the 2019 disappearance of a 10-year-old child in Reisterstown, Maryland.
Deputies and Georgia State Patrol troopers conducted a felony traffic stop near Exit 177. Brown was taken into custody without incident, and two children in the vehicle were safely recovered, officials said. No injuries were reported.

Maryland authorities are expected to seek Brown’s extradition, according to local reports. Fox 5 Atlanta also reported that Fulton County felony interference with child custody charges connected to Brown had since been dismissed.
The arrest adds another layer to a series of legal issues that have drawn public attention around Morgan, Brown and V-103, one of Atlanta’s most recognizable radio stations.
Morgan, 53, was arrested by Sandy Springs police in June on charges including aggravated battery, battery and third-degree cruelty to children after a domestic dispute investigation involving Brown. According to court records and police documents cited by local outlets, Brown alleged that an argument at their home turned physical. Morgan has denied the allegations, and the case remains pending.
After his arrest, Brown was granted a temporary protective order requiring Morgan to stay away from her, their home and their children while the case proceeds.

The situation has also extended into federal court. Francesca Amiker, Morgan’s V-103 co-host and a former 11Alive anchor, filed a defamation lawsuit against Brown in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. The lawsuit alleges Brown made or directed social media posts that falsely claimed Amiker had an affair with Morgan and falsely suggested Amiker was connected to Brown’s reported injuries.
Amiker denies the allegations, and the lawsuit says her relationship with Morgan has been strictly professional. The civil claims have not been proven in court. Brown has not publicly addressed the specific allegations in court, but a statement shared by her team said the legal process and evidence would speak for themselves.
Amid the fallout, Morgan announced he was stepping away from “The Big Tigger Morning Show” on V-103 to focus on his family and give his legal team room to handle the matter. He did not provide a timeline for his return.
“The cases remain active, and none of the pending criminal or civil allegations have been proven in court.”
Morgan, a longtime radio and television personality, is widely known for his work on BET’s “Rap City” and for his years as a fixture in Atlanta radio. His current legal situation has turned a private family dispute into a public entertainment and media story involving criminal charges, a civil lawsuit and a Maryland custody-related case.
The criminal cases involving Morgan, the federal defamation lawsuit involving Amiker and Brown, and Brown’s Maryland warrant matter remain ongoing.
