LOS ANGELES — Emcee N.I.C.E. thought his solo recording career had reached its final chapter. Instead, he says faith led him to write another one.
The Billboard No. 1 recording artist, Stellar Award-winning executive and Christian hip-hop pioneer has released “The Book of Aulsondro,” a personal album framed as a musical memoir about faith, purpose, perseverance and legacy.
The project follows “Iron Dove: Act III – KUMBAYA,” which Emcee N.I.C.E. said he once believed would be his final solo album.
“The Book of Aulsondro wasn’t supposed to happen,” Emcee N.I.C.E. said in a press release. “I truly believed KUMBAYA would be my final album. But sometimes God writes another chapter after you think you’ve reached the last page. This album isn’t about fame — it’s about faith, purpose, legacy, and leaving behind a testimony.”
Born Dr. Aulsondro “Novelist” Hamilton, Emcee N.I.C.E. uses the album to revisit the experiences that shaped his life, ministry, family, leadership and career. The project moves through themes of triumph, disappointment, healing, redemption and spiritual endurance, giving listeners a closer view of the person behind one of Christian hip-hop’s most influential voices.

Musically, “The Book of Aulsondro” blends Christian hip-hop with gospel, worship, contemporary Christian music, soul, Afrobeat and inspirational melodies. The release highlights songs including “Hands Up,” featuring ALDREN, and “Just Wanna Love,” featuring Miz Tiffany and Shari.
The album’s concept positions each song as a chapter in Hamilton’s story. Rather than centering the project on commercial achievement, Emcee N.I.C.E. presents it as testimony — a reflection on the unexpected turns that can shape a calling.
His influence extends beyond the recording booth. As co-founder of God’s House of Hip Hop, Emcee N.I.C.E. has worked to expand the reach of Christian hip-hop and support independent faith-based artists. His work also includes serving as managing editor of RYZE Magazine, writing “Music Release University,” producing film and television projects, leading nonprofit initiatives and mentoring emerging creatives.
Before his transition into Christian music, Emcee N.I.C.E. built a career in mainstream entertainment as part of KansasCali. His music and production work connected him to film, television and hip-hop, including work associated with acoustic recordings by 2Pac and Nas.
His 2017 album “Praise” became a defining moment in his Christian music career, reaching No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Gospel Albums chart and helping establish him as a leading figure in gospel rap and Christian hip-hop.
With “The Book of Aulsondro,” Emcee N.I.C.E. shifts the spotlight from accolades to authenticity. The album speaks to listeners navigating their own unfinished chapters and offers a reminder that purpose can emerge after a person believes a season has ended.
For Emcee N.I.C.E., the message is clear: the story is still being written.
